2012 Mazda CX-9

The 2012 Mazda CX-9 is a seven passenger crossover vehicle that features a sporty body design and plenty of interior space. With three rows of seating, Bluetooth connectivity, and a blind spot monitoring system, the CX-9 ensures a comfortable and safe drive in the Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring models.

The exterior of the CX-9 has a sleeker look than other crossover vehicles in its class, such as the Chevrolet Traverse or Toyota Highlander. The sporty look is enhanced by its standard dual exhaust tips, available power liftgate, and its available xenon high-intensity headlights and fog lights. The aluminum 18-inch alloy wheels come standard with the CX-9, with 20-inch wheels as an option.

The 2012 CX-9 has spacious seating for seven passengers, and available features like heated front seats, a keyless entry and start system, and a DVD entertainment center in the rear with a BOSE sound system throughout the vehicle. Passengers can be sure they will have a comfortable ride with a three-zone climate control system and a number of available options, such as leather seats, and a rear DVD player. Available in front or all-wheel drive, the 2012 Mazda CX-9 has a 3.7 liter V-6 engine and a standard six-speed manual transmission. For front wheel drive models, there is an available Towing Prep Package that increases towing capacity from 2,000 to 3,500 pounds. The package includes a heavy duty transmission oil cooler and radiator fan. The engine control module has also been revised with the Towing Prep Package.

The CX-9 has a number of safety features, including side-impact airbags at the front seats and three-row side curtain airbags. An anti-lock brake system and an electronic stability system that prevents rollovers ensure a safer ride in poor weather conditions and during unexpected driving maneuvers. Optional safety features include a backup camera and a blind spot warning system.

The 2012 Mazda CX-9 is sportier than other large crossover vehicles, but still manages to have a very spacious interior and luxurious available options like leather seats and a rear entertainment system. The CX-9 has traction and stability controls that help the vehicle hug the curves of the road and prevent rollovers.
